Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Woodstock North Thunder (Woodstock, IL), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Plano for a Interstate Eight challenge on Monday, April 10. Sycamore will battle a Reapers squad coming off a 14-4 non-league win over Westmont (Westmont, IL). The Reapers record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Woodstock North falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Thunder host Harvard (Harvard, IL) to battle the Hornets in a Kishwaukee River challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Harvard lost 3-1 in their recent league challenge against Marengo (Marengo, IL)
