Oxford Chargers (Oxford, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Horn Lake Eagles (Horn Lake, MS), 16-2 in a league test.

With the win, Oxford upgrades its record to 16-9 on the season. The Chargers travel to DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS) to clash with the Jaguars in a 7A Region 1 game on Thursday, April 11. The Jaguars go into the game with a record of 11-12.

The Eagles (4-16) will now prepare for their game against Hernando (Hernando, MS). The Tigers go into the 7A Region 1 game with a 17-6 record. In their last game, Hernando overcame Lewisburg (Olive Branch, MS), 16-5, in a league game.
