Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Morris Redskins (Morris, IL), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Stillman Valley for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13.

With the loss, Morris falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Redskins host Kaneland (Maple Park, IL) to battle the Knights in a challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
