Brewer Patriots (Somerville, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Danville Hawks (Danville, AL), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they host East Limestone for a 5A Area 15 challenge on Tuesday, April 9.

With the loss, Danville falls to 11-8 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to West Morgan (Trinity, AL) to face the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 13-11.
