Crittenden County Rockets (Marion, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Caldwell County Tigers (Princeton, KY), 10-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Rockets now own a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lyon County for a District 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Crittenden County will face a Lyons squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Dawson Springs (Dawson Springs, KY). The Lyons record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Caldwell County falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host McCracken County (Paducah, KY) to face the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 12-3. McCracken County won 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Graves County (Mayfield, KY)
