Livingston Lancers (Livingston, NJ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cedar Grove Panthers (Cedar Grove, NJ), 6-1 in a league challenge.

The Lancers now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Hanover Park for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. Livingston will face a Hornets squad coming off a 14-3 non-league win over Newark Academy (Livingston, NJ). The Hornets record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Cedar Grove falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Montclair (Montclair, NJ) to face the Mounties in a SEC - American challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Mounties enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Montclair won 8-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Hackensack (Hackensack, NJ)
