Vinal RVT Hawks (Middletown, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Cheney RVT Beavers (Manchester, CT), 18-3 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Grasso Tech for a Connecticut Tech challenge on Friday, April 12. Vinal RVT will face a Eagles squad coming off a 23-0 non-league loss to Harvard Ellis Tech (Killingly, CT). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Cheney RVT falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Beavers host Norwich RVT (Norwich, CT) to face the Warriors in a Connecticut Tech challenge on Friday, April 12. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
