Highland Regional Tartans (Blackwood, NJ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cumberland Colts (Seabrook, NJ), 6-0 in a league challenge.

The Tartans now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Washington Township for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8.

With the loss, Cumberland falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Colts travel to Triton (Runnemede, NJ) to face the Mustangs in a Tri-County - Liberty challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Triton lost 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Kingsway (Woolwich Township, NJ)
