Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Fairfield Lions (Leesburg, OH), 14-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Mohawks now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host Eastern for a Southern Ohio II challenge on Wednesday, April 10.

With the loss, Fairfield falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Lions host Fayetteville-Perry (Fayetteville, OH) to face the Rockets in a Southern Hills Athletic challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Fayetteville-Perry won 9-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Walnut Hills (Cincinnati, OH)
