Lakeland Regional Lancers (Wanaque, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wayne Valley Indians (Wayne, NJ), 7-5 in a league challenge.

The Lancers now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fair Lawn for a Big North - Independence challenge on Friday, April 12.

With the loss, Wayne Valley falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Passaic County Tech (Wayne, NJ) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Passaic County Tech won 14-1 in their recent league challenge against Bergen Tech (Hackensack, NJ)
