Northeast Lauderdale Trojans (Meridian, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS), 17-2 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 11-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Leake Central for a 4A Region 4 challenge on Monday, April 8. Northeast Lauderdale will face a Gators squad coming off a 24-12 non-league loss to Noxapater (Noxapater, MS). The Gators record now stands at 0-14.

With the loss, Leake Central falls to 0-16 on the campaign. The Gators host Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS) to face the Trojans in a 4A Region 4 challenge on Monday, April 8. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 9-10. Northeast Lauderdale won 13-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Morton (Morton, MS)
