Ridgecroft Rams (Ahoskie, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Mattamuskeet Lakers (Swan Quarter, NC), 14-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lawrence Academy for a NCISAA Tarheel challenge on Wednesday, April 10. Ridgecroft will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 16-0 non-league loss to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Suffolk, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Mattamuskeet falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Lakers host Columbia (Columbia, NC) to battle the Wildcats in a Atlantic 1A challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. Columbia lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC)
