The Rison Wildcats routed the visiting McGehee Owls softball squad by a final score of 16-5 in Monday's league battle.

The Wildcats (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against Ouachita (Donaldson, AR). The Warriors go into the 2A Region 8 battle with a 0-9 record. In their last battle, Ouachita was routed by Junction City (Junction City, AR), 19-0, in a league battle.

The Owls now possess a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Hamburg for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 9. McGehee will confront a Lions squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Crossett (Crossett, AR). The Lions record now stands at 7-6.
