Rhode Island High School Softball - Ponaganset bounces Mt. Hope

The Ponaganset Chieftains routed the host Mt. Hope Huskies softball squad by a final score of 16-0 in Monday's league battle.

The Chieftains (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Narragansett (Narragansett, RI). The Mariners go into the Division 2 battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Narragansett topped Middletown (Middletown, RI), 13-5, in a league battle.

The Huskies now possess a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Narragansett for a Division 2 battle on Wednesday, April 10. Mt. Hope will meet a Mariners squad coming off a 13-3 league loss to Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI). The Mariners record now stands at 1-3.
