North Carolina High School Baseball - Watauga prevails Alexander Central

The Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 10-1 in Tuesday's league challenge.
The Pioneers now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hibriten for a Northwestern 3A/4A challenge on Friday, April 11. Watauga will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 4-3 league win over Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 10-6.
With the defeat, Alexander Central drops to 10-7 on the year. The Cougars host South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to clash with the Spartans in a Northwestern 3A/4A challenge on Friday, April 11. The Spartans go into the challenge with a record of 16-1. South Caldwell won 14-0 in their recent non-league challenge against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC)
