In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Springfield Longhorns baseball team scored a close 9-3 victory over the Granada Bobcats.
The Longhorns (4-5) will now prepare for their game against Wiley (Wiley, CO). The Panthers enter the 1A District 4 game with a 2-9 record. In their last game, Wiley was overwhelmed by Eads (Eads, CO), 14-0, in a non-league game.
Next, the Bobcats face the Manzanola Bobcats (Manzanola, CO) in a 1A District 4 game, on Friday, April 11. Granada will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Bobcats enter the game with a 1-6 record after their 11-6 non-league win over Sierra Grande (Blanca, CO).
