The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Newport Greyhounds (Newport, AR) and the host Harrisburg Hornets (Harrisburg, AR), saw Newport's baseball team gain a win over Harrisburg by a tally of 5-2.

The Greyhounds (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against Hoxie (Hoxie, AR). The Mustangs enter the 3A Region 3 battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Hoxie by Rivercrest (Wilson, AR), 13-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Hornets face the Walnut Ridge Bobcats (Walnut Ridge, AR) in a 3A Region 3 battle, on Thursday, April 10. Harrisburg will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 11-7 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Armorel (Armorel, AR).
