Texas High School Baseball - Jim Ned wallops Merkel

The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Jim Ned Indians (Tuscola, TX) and the visiting Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX), saw Jim Ned's baseball team beat Merkel by a margin of 10-0.

The Indians (17-3) will now prepare for their battle against Clyde (Clyde, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 3A Region I District 6 battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Clyde was overwhelmed by Wall (Wall, TX), 13-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Badgers face the San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy Eagles (San Angelo, TX) in a 3A Region I District 6 battle, on Friday, April 11. Merkel will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 1-11 record after their 16-3 league loss to Grape Creek (San Angelo, TX).
