The Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC), 16-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.
The Hornets now own a 5-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Thomasville for a Central Carolina 1A/2A challenge on Wednesday, April 9. Salisbury will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 14-0 league win over South Davidson (Denton, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-9.
With the defeat, Lexington drops to 1-13 on the year. The Yellowjackets host North Rowan (Spencer, NC) to clash with the Cavaliers in a Central Carolina 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, April 15. The Cavaliers go into the challenge with a record of 3-10.
