The Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) baseball trounced the visiting Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM), 12-2 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
The Pirates now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Belen for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 11. Grants will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 21-2 non-league win over Highland (Albuquerque, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 6-2.
With the defeat, Highland drops to 4-5 on the year. The Hornets host Valencia (Los Lunas, NM) to clash with the Jaguars in a challenge on Friday, April 11. The Jaguars go into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Valencia won 10-7 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM)
