Cocke County Fighting Cocks (Newport, TN) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Seymour Eagles (Seymour, TN), 6-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Cocke County moves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Fighting Cocks travel to South-Doyle (Knoxville, TN) to clash with the Cherokees in a non-league test on Monday, April 14. The Cherokees come into the test with a record of 7-1. South-Doyle won 9-0 in their recent league test against Sequoyah (Madisonville, TN)

The Eagles now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Austin-East for a AA District 3 test on Tuesday, April 15. Seymour will clash with a Roadrunners team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Gibbs (Corryton, TN). The Roadrunners record now stands at 2-6.
