With the triumph, Alexander Central improves its record to 17-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 9. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 8-7. Lake Norman won 11-10 in their recent league game against A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC)

The Pioneers now hold a 3-11 record. They play next when they travel to Draughn for a non-league game on Thursday, April 10. Watauga will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-7 league loss to Madison (Marshall, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-4.
