In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Bay Springs Bulldogs softball team scored a tight 13-12 win over the Scott Central Rebels.

The Bulldogs (3-9) will now prepare for their match against Newton (Newton, MS). The Tigers come into the 2A Region 5 match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Newton was nipped by Forest (Forest, MS), 39-18, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Rebels battle the Lake Hornets (Lake, MS) in a 2A Region 5 match, on Thursday, April 10. Scott Central will attempt to better on its 6-11 season record. The Hornets come into the match with a 12-9 record after their 6-5 league loss to Clarkdale (Meridian, MS).
