The Colleton County Cougars softball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Branchville Yellow Jackets to 3 in the Cougars non-league win on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bluffton for a AAAA Region 6 battle on Wednesday, April 9. Colleton County will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 17-9 league loss to Hilton Head Island (Hilton Head Island, SC). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Branchville moves to 3-2 on the season. The Yellow jackets travel to Palmetto Scholars Academy (North Charleston, SC) to confront the Phoenix in a A Region 5 battle on Thursday, April 10. The Phoenix come into the battle with a record of 4-3. Palmetto Scholars Academy lost 7-6 in their recent league battle against Charleston Math & Science (Charleston, SC)
