North Carolina High School Softball - Madison sneaks past Draughn

April 8, 2025: Valdese, NC 28690

The Madison Patriots softball team scored 8 runs and held the host Draughn Wildcats to 7 in the Patriots league win on Tuesday.

The Patriots now possess a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Draughn for a Western Highlands 1A/2A battle on Friday, April 11. Madison will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 8-7 league loss to Madison (Marshall, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-4.

With the loss, Draughn moves to 10-4 on the season. The Wildcats host Watauga (Boone, NC) to confront the Pioneers in a non-league battle on Thursday, April 10. The Pioneers come into the battle with a record of 3-11. Watauga lost 10-0 in their recent league battle against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC)
