The Florence Eagles softball team scored 6 runs and held the host South Jones Braves to 5 in the Eagles league win on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wesson for a non-league battle on Friday, April 11. Florence will confront a Cobras team coming off a 18-0 league win over Port Gibson (Port Gibson, MS). The Cobras record now stands at 17-4.

With the loss, South Jones moves to 10-6 on the season. The Braves travel to Brookhaven (Brookhaven, MS) to confront the Panthers in a 5A Region 3 battle on Thursday, April 10. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 13-9. Brookhaven won 8-4 in their recent league battle against North Pike (Summit, MS)
