In Tuesday's league test, the Gregory-Portland Wildcats (Portland, TX) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Ray Texans (Corpus Christi, TX), by a tally of 8-0.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Alice Coyotes (Alice, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 29 test, on Friday, April 11. Gregory-Portland will attempt to advance on its 18-9 season record. The Coyotes go into the test with a 10-17 record after their 10-3 league loss to Flour Bluff (Corpus Christi, TX).

The Texans (6-17) will now prepare for their test against Flour Bluff (Corpus Christi, TX). The Hornets go into the 5A Region IV District 29 test with a 18-7 record. In their last test, Flour Bluff toppled Miller (Corpus Christi, TX), 16-3, in a league test.
