The Salem Wildcats softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Lumberton Panthers to 0 in the Wildcats league win on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Resurrection Catholic for a 1A Region 8 battle on Wednesday, April 9. Salem will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 22-17 league loss to East Marion (Columbia, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 0-9.

With the loss, Lumberton moves to 4-6 on the season. The Panthers host Resurrection Catholic (Pascagoula, MS) to encounter the Eagles in a 1A Region 8 battle on Thursday, April 10. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 0-11. Resurrection Catholic lost 21-0 in their recent league battle against Salem (Tylertown, MS)
