The McAllen Bulldogs softball squad (McAllen, TX), was routed 14-4 in Tuesday's league contest with the host Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX)

With the triumph, Vela improves its record to 9-8 on the year. The Sabercats travel to Sharyland (Mission, TX) to face the Rattlers in a 5A Region IV District 31 contest on Friday, April 11. The Rattlers enter the contest with a record of 5-9. Sharyland lost 6-4 in their recent league contest against Rowe (McAllen, TX)

The Bulldogs now hold a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 31 contest on Friday, April 11. McAllen will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 13-3 league win over McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX). The Wolverines record now stands at 12-10.
