The Ware Shoals Hornets softball team scored 27 runs and held the visiting McCormick Chiefs to 1 in the Hornets league win on Tuesday.

The Hornets now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Abbeville for a A Region 1 battle on Friday, April 11. Ware Shoals will confront a Panthers team coming off a 22-6 league loss to Dixie (Due West, SC). The Panthers record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, McCormick moves to 0-7 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Thornwell (Clinton, SC) to confront the Saints in a A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, April 15. The Saints come into the battle with a record of 5-6. Thornwell lost 11-1 in their recent league battle against Whitmire (Whitmire, SC)
