The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) and the visiting Mira Loma Matadors (Sacramento, CA), observed Wheatland's softball team notch a victory over Mira Loma by a final score of 22-3.

The Pirates (11-4) will now prepare for their bout against Oakmont (Roseville, CA). The Vikings go into the Pioneer Valley League bout with a 10-5 record. In their last bout, Oakmont gained a win over Marysville (Marysville, CA), 11-8, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Matadors battle the Bear River Bruins (Grass Valley, CA) in a Pioneer Valley League bout, on Thursday, April 10. Mira Loma will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 5-1 league loss to Oakmont (Roseville, CA).
