The Southwestern Randolph Cougars softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Providence Grove Patriots to 0 in the Cougars league win on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jordan-Matthews for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 9. Southwestern Randolph will confront a Jets team coming off a 6-4 league loss to North Moore (Robbins, NC). The Jets record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, Providence Grove moves to 8-6 on the season. The Patriots host Uwharrie Charter Academy (Asheboro, NC) to confront the Eagles in a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A battle on Thursday, April 10. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 8-6. Uwharrie Charter Academy lost 7-3 in their recent non-league battle against McMichael (Mayodan, NC)
