Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears (San Juan, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they host Edinburg North for a 6A Region IV District 31 challenge on Saturday, April 10. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 8-6 league loss to Edinburg (Edinburg, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, La Joya falls to 7-14 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX) to battle the Huskies in a 6A Region IV District 31 challenge on Saturday, April 10. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 0-13. Juarez-Lincoln lost 22-0 in their recent league challenge against Vela (Edinburg, TX)
