The Alexandria Valley Cubs baseball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Springville Tigers to 3 in the Valley Cubs non-league victory on Saturday.
The Valley Cubs (16-12) will now prepare for their match against St. Clair County (Odenville, AL). The Fighting Saints go into the 5A Area 11 match with a 13-12 record. In their last match, St. Clair County was edged by Sardis (Boaz, AL), 10-0, in a non-league match.
The Tigers (12-11) will now prepare for their match against Pell City (Pell City, AL). The Panthers go into the 6A Area 13 match with a 14-5 record.
