The Lamar County Bulldogs softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Sipsey Valley Bears to 1 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Lamar County moves its record to 8-13 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to South Lamar (Millport, AL) to clash with the Stallions in a non-league game on Saturday, April 9. The Stallions come into the game with a record of 6-11. South Lamar lost 14-2 in their recent non-league game against Hatton (Town Creek, AL)

In their next game, the Bears clash with the Selma Saints (Selma, AL) in a 5A Area 7 game, on Tuesday, April 12. Sipsey Valley will attempt to move on its 16-14 season record. The Saints come into the game with a 4-5 record after their 15-1 league loss to Demopolis (Demopolis, AL).
