Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the South Lamar Stallions (Millport, AL) and the visiting Lamar County Bulldogs (Vernon, AL), witnessed South Lamar's softball squad tip Lamar County by a count of 7-2.

The Stallions now sport a 8-11 record. They play next when they travel to Berry for a 1A Area 9 match on Monday, April 11. South Lamar will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 20-0 league win over Pickens County (Reform, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Lamar County moves to 8-13 on the season. The Bulldogs host Fayette County (Fayette, AL) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Monday, April 11. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 4-18. Fayette County lost 10-3 in their recent non-league match against Northridge (Tuscaloosa, AL)
