The LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) softball nipped the visiting Salt Fork Storm (Sidell, IL), 6-5 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Panthers (9-2) will now prepare for their bout against Heyworth (Heyworth, IL). The Hornets go into the Heart of Illinois bout with a 4-2 record.
The Storm now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Hoopeston for a Vermilion Valley bout on Monday, April 11. Salt Fork will confront a Cornjerkers squad coming off a 6-2 league loss to Georgetown-Ridge Farm (Georgetown, IL). The Cornjerkers record now stands at 4-6.
