The William Blount Governors softball team scored 10 runs and limited the host Powell Panthers to 4 in the Governors non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, William Blount moves its record to 7-10 on the year. The Governors travel to Gibbs (Corryton, TN) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league game on Saturday, April 9. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 15-2. Gibbs won 5-2 in their recent non-league game against Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN)

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the West Rebels (Knoxville, TN) in a 4A District 3 game, on Tuesday, April 12. Powell will attempt to move on its 14-4 season record. The Rebels come into the game with a 1-5 record after their 21-0 league loss to Karns (Knoxville, TN).
