The Manzano Monarchs baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Belen Eagles to 4 in the Monarchs non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Monarchs (8-10) will now prepare for their match against Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM). The Ravens go into the 5A District 5 match with a 11-4 record. In their last match, Rio Grande tipped Capital (Santa Fe, NM), 13-1, in a league match.
The Eagles (12-5) will now prepare for their match against Grants (Grants, NM). The Pirates go into the 4A District 5 match with a 15-5 record. In their last match, Grants tipped Highland (Albuquerque, NM), 8-0, in a league match.
