The Fuquay - Varina Bengals baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs to 0 in the Bengals league victory on Tuesday.
The Bengals (7-5) will now prepare for their match against Harnett Central (Angier, NC). The Trojans go into the non-league match with a 12-5 record. In their last match, Harnett Central ran past E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC), 14-0, in a league match.
The Bulldogs (2-10) will now prepare for their match against Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Bengals go into the Greater Neuse River 4A match with a 7-6 record. In their last match, Fuquay - Varina was overwhelmed by Harnett Central (Angier, NC), 4-3, in a non-league match.
