In Tuesday's league game, the host Vernon Vikings baseball team scored a nice 8-0 victory over the Newton Braves.
The Vikings (2-0) will now prepare for their game against High Point (Sussex, NJ). The Wildcats go into the NJAC - Freedom game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, High Point overcame Hackettstown (Hackettstown, NJ), 11-1, in a league game.
The Braves (0-5) will now prepare for their game against North Warren Regional (Blairstown, NJ). The Patriots go into the NJAC - Freedom game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, North Warren Regional overcame Jefferson Township (Oak Ridge, NJ), 7-5, in a league game.
