Manvel Mavericks (Manvel, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ball Tornadoes (Galveston, TX), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Mavericks now own a 19-8 record. They take the field next when they host Angleton for a 5A Region III District 18 challenge on Friday, April 12. Manvel will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 7-1 league win over Texas City (Texas City, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 22-7.

With the loss, Ball falls to 7-20 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to La Porte (La Porte, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 5A Region III District 18 challenge on Friday, April 12. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 14-7. La Porte lost 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Manvel (Manvel, TX)
