Buckeye Local Panthers (Rayland, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Union Local Jets (Belmont, OH), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to River for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15.

With the loss, Union Local falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Jets host Cambridge (Cambridge, OH) to battle the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. Cambridge won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Clairsville (St. Clairsville, OH)
