Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Pieper Warriors (San Antonio, TX), 19-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they host Smithson Valley for a 5A Region IV District 26 match on Friday, April 12. Canyon will meet a Rangers squad coming off a 8-4 league win over Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 23-6.

With the loss, Pieper moves to 7-24 on the season. The Warriors travel to Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX) to meet the Chargers in a 5A Region IV District 26 match on Friday, April 12. The Chargers go into the match with a record of 10-11. Boerne-Champion won 18-9 in their recent league match against Tivy (Kerrville, TX)
