Cape Fear Colts (Fayetteville, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC), 15-0 in a league challenge.

The Colts now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lee County for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11. Cape Fear will face a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Western Harnett (Lillington, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Purnell Swett falls to 5-8 on the campaign. The Rams host Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC) to face the Bears in a United Eight 3A/4A challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 5-5. Gray's Creek won 21-1 in their recent league challenge against Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC)
