Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Streator Bulldogs (Streator, IL), 12-4 in a league challenge.

The Coalers now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Peotone for a Illinois Central Eight challenge on Wednesday, April 10. Coal City will battle a Blue Devils squad coming off a 11-3 league win over Lisle (Lisle, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Streator falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Sandwich (Sandwich, IL) to battle the Indians in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 5-2. Sandwich lost 4-1 in their recent league challenge against Richmond-Burton (Richmond, IL)
