The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS) and the host Gautier Gators (Gautier, MS), saw East Central's softball squad achieve victory over Gautier by a count of 10-0.

The Hornets now sport a 17-3 record. They take the field next when they host Wayne County for a 5A Region 4 match on Friday, April 12. East Central will face a War Eagles squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Perry Central (New Augusta, MS). The War Eagles record now stands at 13-10.

With the loss, Gautier falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Laurel (Laurel, MS) to face the Golden Tornadoes in a 5A Region 4 match on Thursday, April 11. The Golden Tornadoes enter the match with a record of 0-11. Laurel lost 17-0 in their recent non-league match against Hattiesburg (Hattiesburg, MS)
