Pikeville Panthers (Pikeville, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY), 14-4 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host Shelby Valley for a District 59 challenge on Thursday, April 11. Pikeville will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 14-3 non-league win over Phelps (Phelps, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, East Ridge falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host Mingo Central (Matewan, WV) to battle the Miners in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Miners enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Mingo Central lost 14-6 in their recent league challenge against Tug Valley (Williamson, WV)
