Fair Lawn Cutters (Fair Lawn, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northern Highlands Highlanders (Allendale, NJ), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Cutters now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Hudson Catholic for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11. Fair Lawn will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 17-7 league loss to Kearny (Kearny, NJ). The Hawks record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Northern Highlands falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Pascack Hills (Montvale, NJ) to battle the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Broncos enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Pascack Hills lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against River Dell (Oradell, NJ)
