James F. Byrnes Rebels (Duncan, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Gaffney Indians (Gaffney, SC), 8-1 in a league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 16-2 record. They take the field next when they host T.L. Hanna for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10.

With the loss, Gaffney falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Indians host East Rutherford (Forest City, NC) to battle the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 6-5. East Rutherford won 9-3 in their recent league challenge against Patton (Morganton, NC)
